As you can see, we have completely revamped the IHLA website to make it more informative and easier to use. The "Members Only" section has helpful information on legislative issues, outlining IHLA positions on important issues that come before the State Legislature. There is helpful information on communicating with the media. We have also developed a special section on key issues such as hotel taxes and immigration reform, and organized them in a way that makes them easy to locate. We have included sections on topics that help you manage your business more efficiently, attract, train and retain valued employees, and help you achieve the best value for the wide range of products and services you purchase every year.

While serving IHLA members is our first priority, we've redesigned the public sections of our website as well. We would like the general public, the media, elected officials and others to know that the hotel and lodging industry is a major contributor to the growth of the Illinois economy. We also want them to know that more than 450 members of IHLA give back to their communities in the form of contributions and donated rooms, meals, and employee wages-in fact Illinois hotels contributed nearly $28 million to their communities last year.

We're proud of the contribution our industry makes to the state and the hundreds of communities in which we own and operate hotels. We hope our new website showcases these many contributions.
